Kyrgyz NGOs and associations that are working in the media sector, as well as independent media organizations, can apply for these grants.
The program may address policy priorities such as: promoting freedom of speech and press, fostering government transparency and advocacy, fighting corruption, informing the public regarding the work and contributions of civil society organizations to the Kyrgyz Republic’s social and economic development, and raising public awareness and participation in efforts to combat climate change and air pollution.
Applications must be submitted in English, but applicants may choose to supplement their proposals with Russian or Kyrgyz versions. Final grant agreements will be concluded in English.
The deadline is May 31.
