Contest recognizes business reporting [Ghana]

Journalists who are members of the Ghana Journalists Association and students can enter this competition.

The Ghana Journalists Association is accepting entries for the GJA Awards.

The contest aims to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the Ghanaian industry while recognizing the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

Works must have been published between Jan. 1, 2018 and Dec. 31, 2018. 

More than 50 awards are distributed in six categories including news reporting, agriculture and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), investigative reporting, photojournalism, rural reporting, sports reporting, crime, court reporting, tourism and culture, and more.

The winners will be announced at the Ghana Journalists Association Dinner and Awards Night Nov. 23 in Accra.

The deadline has been extended to Aug. 9.
