Emerging newsroom leaders fluent in English can apply for this free virtual fellowship.
The Google News Initiative and the Columbia University Journalism School are accepting candidates for the GNI Newsroom Leadership Program, which aims to enhance the leadership skills and decision-making capacity of journalists in India.
This six-month program includes two weeks of virtual residencies as well as regular individual coaching, small group projects, lectures, discussion groups, and opportunities to meet with industry leaders.
Each fellow will also work on a specific project that is relevant to their newsroom within the main fellowship topics: technology, monetization and data.
Applicants should be working full-time in editorial positions at news organizations and endorsed by their employers.
The deadline is Dec. 20.
