Deadline extended: ICFJ fellowship for minority journalists open [US]

Publicado en Dec 13, 2018 en Diversity and Inclusion

Minority journalists can apply for a fellowship.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is accepting applications for its Bringing Home the World Fellowship, which helps U.S.-based minority journalists cover compelling yet underreported international stories, increasing the diversity of voices in global news.

The program aims to level the playing field and redress the inequality minority journalists often face by giving them the opportunity to report from overseas and advance their careers.

Fellows must participate in an orientation on April 2 and 3 in Washington and complete their reporting trip by July 15.

The 2020 fellowship is sponsored by the Scripps Howard Foundation and the Brooks and Joan Fortune Family Foundation.

The deadline has been extended to Feb. 18.
