If you are a U.S. based minority journalist interested in reporting abroad, bring your questions to our chat about an upcoming international reporting fellowship.
Join us Monday, March 6 at 9:30 a.m. EST for a one-hour chat about the Scripps Howard Foundation-sponsored Bringing Home the World: International Reporting Fellowship for Minority Journalists.
During the chat, you can pose your questions to ICFJ staffers and two journalists who participated in previous BHTW Fellowship, Christine Armario of The Associate Press and Eyder Peralta of NPR.
As a participant in ICFJ’s international reporting fellowship, Armario traveled to Camaguey, Cuba in 2015 to report on life in island as Cuba moved closer to normalizing relations with the United States of America. In 2014, Peralta traveled to Bluefield, Nicaragua, where he investigated drug trafficking issues in the country.
The fellowships are managed by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ). The deadline to apply for these fellowships is Monday, March 20, 2017. Please note that this fellowship opportunity is not open for current students.
