Digital First training program seeks applications [Middle East]

Jordanian digital content creators, social media activists, digital bloggers, vloggers, podcasters and/or influential journalists are eligible to apply for this program.

The Sawt Project, a five-year (2022-2027) cooperative agreement funded by USAID and implemented by Internews in partnership with Mercy Corps and the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL),  has announced the opening of the third session of the “Digital First” training program.

This Digital First program course is designed to empower digital content creators with essential skills in media ethics, editorial skills, specialized knowledge and technological proficiency.

The program is expected to last for six to eight months, and it will focus on providing theoretical and practical training, mostly in-person, to 10-12 individual participants.

Preference will be given to youth content creators aged 18-35, women, people with disabilities and members of other marginalized groups.

Candidates should be active in creating and publishing digital content online that serves the public interest (non-commercial).

The application deadline is Jan. 14, 2025.
