Mid-career journalists can apply for a remote, six-month fellowship.

The National Press Club Journalism Institute and the Common Health Coalition launched the Public Health Reporting Fellowship. The program seeks to support reporting projects focused on the intersection of public health policy and health care delivery.

Fellows will attend a half-day virtual orientation with training content focused on public health issues, data, resources and research to support their projects. They will also receive support from leading public health experts and journalists.

Five fellows will be selected and receive up to US$7,500 to support reporting expenses for a significant project to be published by their employers or a supporting news outlet.

The deadline is Jan. 6, 2025.
