Science journalists from across the Arabic-speaking world are eligible to apply for an intensive workshop in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
MIT Policy Lab, Knight Science Journalism, MENA/MIT, MIT-Arab World, MIT Center for International Studies, and SciComm X are organizing an intensive workshop titled "Climate, Sustainability, and Health: Promoting Science Writing and Policy for Journalists in the Arab World” at Khalifa University.
The workshop will take place Jan 20 to 25, 2025. It aims to enhance participants' understanding of climate science, explore mitigation strategies, and build skills in science reporting while offering networking opportunities with experts and journalists.
The workshop will cover visa, flights, accommodation and meals for 25 accepted science journalists from across the Arab world.
Preference will be given to full-time journalists covering science.
