African filmmakers, based in Africa, can apply for grants to produce short documentary films.
Documentary Africa (DocA) launches the Shoot Your Short initiative, which provides grants to support short-form documentary content.
Eligible applicants must have completed at least one previous film and commit to completing the short film within a year from receiving the grant.
Film must be less than 20 minutes in duration.
Grants up to US$5,000 will be awarded.
The deadline is Oct. 2.
