Springer Nature is hosting the webinar 'Migration: the missing link' on May 2. The webinar is part of a webinar series of Science for a Sustainable Future, a joint initiative of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) and Springer Nature.

In this webinar, speakers will explore how we can effectively measure, predict and respond to migration, and what the research tells us about solutions for managing and adapting to population movement from across the disciplines. The panel will also consider how migration can and should be involved in broader sustainability discussions, and the essential role of diverse representation in doing so.

Speakers include Prof. Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh, Professor of Migration and Refugee Studies, UCL; Elkin Velásquez Monsalve, Regional Representative for Latin America & Caribbean, UN HABITAT; Dr Yvonne Su, Assistant Professor, Department of Equity Studies·York University; Hind Aïssaoui Bennani, Regional Thematic Specialist (West and Central Africa) on Migration, Environment and Climate Change·UN Migration; and Nhial Deng, a Refugee and Youth Advocate. The panel will be chaired by Magdalena Skipper, Editor in Chief, Nature & Chief Editorial Advisor, Nature Research·Springer Nature.
