Women journalists who are facing lawsuits can apply for free legal services.
The project Tornavoz, funded by UNESCO and supported by Sitawi, is offering free legal defense for women journalists, news organizations led by women or reporting on gender issues who are facing lawsuits due to their journalistic work.
The initiative seeks to provide quality legal services for women journalists and help build a safe space for the practice of journalism.
The project will provide the legal services to at least three applicants.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
