Indian communicators from Tamil Nadu who are interested in renewable energy can apply for the workshop.
Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is hosting a three-day workshop on renewable energy in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu from Aug. 21 to 23. The workshop aims to improve public awareness of India's ambitious energy targets and the progress made thus far.
Selected participants will engage with communicators, researchers, subject experts, policymakers and communities, and gain knowledge and deepen their understanding of the various aspects related to the growth and adoption of renewable energy in the state and in the country.
The workshop will include a field trip to a relevant location. The organizers will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and meals of selected participants.
Interested applicants must have prior experience reporting on scientific and/or environmental topics, and be able to communicate in English and/or Tamil. Call for applications is also available in Tamil.
