Journalists can register for this free course.

The Black Journalists Network (Rede JP), in partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), is accepting registration open for the free course "Diversity, inclusion and new journalism formats in the post-digital culture era."

The course will prepare students to avoid stereotypes and bias in their journalism practice, as a means to amplify diversity in the news.

Students can choose from taking the classes in-person, at UFRJ campus, or online, via YouTube. The 18-week course will start on March 8, with weekly classes on Fridays. Places are limited.

Participants who attend at least 75 percent of the classes and finish the capstone project will receive a certificate issued by UFRJ.

The registration deadline is March 27.
