Publicado en Feb 10, 2023 en Investigative Journalism

Early to mid-career journalists in the U.S. can apply for an investigative reporting fellowship.

The Blacklight, the New York Amsterdam News’ investigative unit, is offering its Gun Violence Reporting Fellowship. The fellowship is part of the Beyond the Barrel of the Gun initiative.

The program is seeking an investigative reporting fellow who will work with its investigative unit to report on the root causes and the impact of gun violence within the Black and Brown communities, as well as the solutions to this plague which disproportionately harms Black and Brown New Yorkers.

In addition, the fellow may explore data journalism and visualization as well as public records and community-based reporting.

The three-month fellowship includes a US$10,000 stipend.

The application deadline is Feb. 17.
