Digital publishing platforms, innovative news and information outlets, as well as bloggers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine can apply for financial support.
The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) provides the funding to support the initiatives aimed for developing independent news outlets, startups, and help journalists and media outlets that operate in repressive environments.
The EED operates primarily in the countries of the European Neighborhood Policy countries. However, under certain conditions, EED may accept applications from the CIS countries and other countries around the world.
The amount of support ranges from EUR40,000 to EUR60,000. Applications can be submitted in different languages, including Russian.
