Newsroom teams in the United States, with at least one reporter and one editor, can apply for a fellowship.
The Solutions Journalism Network, along with Hearken and Trusting News, is launching the Advancing Democracy Fellowship to help newsrooms think big, plan long-term, and reinvent politics, governance and elections coverage with and for their communities.
The nine-month fellowship will help newsrooms learn and practice skills that produce community-centered and solutions-focused coverage.
Participating newsrooms will receive stipends of up to US$5,000.
The application deadline is Feb. 19.
