Journalists reporting on mathematics, science and technology can compete for this award.
The Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA in Portuguese) is seeking entries for its 2025 IMPA Journalism Awards. The competition honors news stories that make mathematics, science and technology accessible to the public.
Journalists can submit their work in two categories: Mathematics and Popular Science. Eligible works must have been published or broadcast in newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs, TV, radio and other media from June 24, 2024 to June 24, 2025.
Winners in each category will receive BRL10,000 (first place), BRL5,000 (second place) and BRL3,000 (third place).
The submission deadline is June 24.
