Black women journalists are encouraged to attend this online event.
The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is hosting its Press Freedom Speaker Series with a conversation on the topic “Opening Doors: Black women journalists lifting up a new generation.” The IWMF works to unleash the power of female journalists to transform the global news media.
The discussion on Sept. 21 will feature four Black women journalists who are carrying on the legacy of African American journalist Gwen Ifill.
The conversation will cover the four journalists' incredible careers, the state of equity and inclusion in the media, and how they're paving the way for the next generation of Black women in journalism.
Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
