Reporters who cover Washington for their state or local communities can apply for the program.

The National Press Foundation (NPF) is organizing an online fellowship designed to help journalists hold Washington accountable.

Fellows will meet Fridays online for 2.5 hours, starting April 30, for eight weeks.

This fellowship will offer skills, sources and best practices to journalists who want to track the COVID-19 relief package.

Volunteer data scientists with DataKind DC will also help fellows produce data journalism stories.

The deadline to apply is April 12.
