IJNet is excited to welcome a new partner to the site: the Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA).

CIMA works to strengthen the support, raise the visibility, and improve the effectiveness of independent media development throughout the world. The Center provides information, builds networks, conducts research, and highlights the indispensable role independent media play in the creation and development of sustainable democracies.

Stories about the latest digital innovations are always among the most popular reads on IJNet. CIMA will help us bring you even more by sharing its Digital Media Mashup, a weekly roundup of headlines about digital media events, news and research from around the world. A selection of those headlines–covering everything from mobile tech to social media–will now appear each Friday on IJNet’s home page. Today's post is here.

What’s more, IJNet will share CIMA’s daily roundup of important stories about the international media landscape from news sources around the world. These headlines now appear in a news ticker on the IJNet homepage.

We look forward to sharing CIMA’s great story selections with the IJNet community.
