The Forum for African Investigative Reporters (FAIR) has published a compilation of materials presented by African investigative journalists during the 2008 Pan-African Investigative Journalism Summit held in September 2008, including lectures, investigative stories and case studies.
The summit, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, sought to address contemporary issues in African journalism, from the lack of information and technical skills to the need for ethics and investigation.
The dossier mirrors the discussion by bringing to light topics of concern both to journalists and African citizens, including corruption in Nigeria, restrictions on accessing information in the Democratic Republic of Congo and transborder environmental issues.
