Journalists from Arab countries will soon have access to an online database of media outlets, which will also serve as a networking tool for media professionals, researchers and developers.
The “Arab Media Sources Database,” to launch soon by Meedan, will provide information about Middle East media in a structured, reusable way. Media will be listed by topic and location, and entries will include details including ownership type, publishing model and audience figures.
Journalists are now being sought to contribute information to the database.
