Thomson Foundation and Mojofest are seeking entries for a mobile journalism competition. Entries must be two to five minutes long and shot with a mobile device . Entries not in English must have subtitles. The winner will receive a mojo kit worth EUR1,000 (US$1,233) as well as flights, accommodations and tickets for the Mojofest conference May 29 to 31 in Galway, Ireland. The 68th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, a conference dedicated to physiology and medicine, will take place June 24 to 29 in Lindau, Germany. About 600 young scientists from all over the world will meet 42 Nobel Laureates. Journalists will have the opportunity to network with participants and arrange specific interviews with laureates. Open Society Foundations are soliciting proposals for the Documentary Photography Project.The program is interested in showcasing the work of photographers and artists who expand the visual language of documentary photography, including those who use new or creative visual strategies, investigative/storytelling approaches or technologies.
