Arab writers living and working in the Arab region can apply for this program.
The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC), in partnership with the broadcasting network OSN launches “The Writers Room,” a program designed for series creators in the Arab region. It aims to contribute to developing and supporting talents and compelling stories.
The program focuses on the development of projects into full limited series. In its first edition, the program will incubate up to five series projects over a period of seven months. It will consist of three in-person residencies, in-between mentorship, and follow-up, as well as input from experts in the field.
The applicants must have prior experience in writing, preferably series writing, and must apply with a series project.
Each writer will receive a US$2,000 stipend.
The deadline for applications is July 11.
