Workshops cover digital tools, fact-checking, source verification [Asia]

Journalists in Asia can apply for these two online workshops. 

The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA)-Asia, in partnership with Google News Initiative (GNI), is providing training sessions to journalists in Asia who want to improve their reporting skills and employ the latest digital tools in their newsgathering, fact-checking, reporting and storytelling.

The session "Digital tools for journalists" will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. GMT+8 (Manila time) on April 10. The workshop will focus on how to search for and monitor news story trends online and on how to use geolocalization and visualization tools to improve storytelling.

The session "Fact-checking and source verification" will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. GMT+8 (Manila time) on April 17. The workshop will present a fast-paced overview of the most up-to-date issues and practices in online verification.
