Journalists from Africa, who are interested in reporting on net zero, can apply for a virtual workshop.
Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN), with support from the European Climate Foundation, is hosting a virtual media workshop on net zero for up to 40 African journalists.
The workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the net zero target, including its history, pathways to achieve it, key terminology and why it is an essential topic for every climate and environmental journalist to be covering.
Participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their thematic and technical understanding of Africa’s energy landscape, from net zero finance and policy measures to an analysis of different African nations' energy mix.
The three-day workshop will be held Aug. 20 to 22.
Journalists from South Africa, Nigeria, Algeria and Morocco are encouraged to apply.
The deadline is July 23.
