The associations Désinfox-Migrations and Journalisme et Citoyenneté, alongside Guiti News, IJNet en français and the SNJ, are hosting the Assises du Journalisme in Tours on March 13 at 11 a.m. (CET). The program seeks to develop an editorial charter on migration coverage, providing concrete resources for newsrooms and journalists.
Just as with gender issues and the climate emergency, editorial teams require training and support to better combat misinformation. Addressing the needs of journalists and promoting best practices is crucial in the face of today’s migration challenges. A preliminary discussion in December 2024 in Paris gathered insights from media professionals—now, journalists can join to continue the conversation and finalize the charter.
