Reporters and editors from Nile Basin countries can attend a free workshop and apply for grants.
InfoNile is hosting the workshop “Reporting on Rivers and Biodiversity in the Nile Basin.” The training workshop features presentations, field trips, discussions, practical sessions and group activities for participants.
During the workshop, mentors and experts on lotic biodiversity, data and science journalism will provide insights on how to best report on rivers as ecosystems and habitats for various species in the Nile Basin.
The weeklong workshop will be held in Uganda, July 17 to 23.
Selected participants will receive transport to and from Uganda, accommodation and meals.
Participants with outstanding story pitches will receive grants and mentorship to produce their stories.
The deadline is June 20.
