Journalists interested in environmental and data reporting can attend this free webinar.

Together with Meta, the World Resources Institute (WRI), the Global Restoration Initiative and the Land & Carbon Lab are hosting a webinar on July 18 to introduce their AI foundation model. This model helped to produce the world’s first global map of tree canopy height at a one-meter resolution, allowing the detection of single trees at a global scale.

In this webinar, experts at WRI, Land & Carbon Lab and Meta will discuss the data and its uses, and what it means for the future of open-source, AI-driven earth monitoring. They will also be joined by experts from the Bezos Earth Fund as they explain why they’re investing in AI for nature and climate.

Participants will also learn about how this new technology will help local communities leading restoration efforts across the globe.

The webinar will include an interactive panel discussion and Q&A.
