Journalists interested in Russia-China relations and their implications for the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy can attend this webinar.

East-West Center's latest China Seminar will feature a conversation with Dr. Shuxian Luo, an assistant professor in the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, on "Beijing and Russia in China’s Disputes with India and Vietnam," on May 10.

In this webinar, Luo will discuss her study on Russia-China relations which challenges most prevailing views and instead argues that China has adopted a bifurcated approach toward Russia’s role in the context of China’s territorial dispute with India and Vietnam in the post-Cold War era. Her study also explores how the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy could more effectively safeguard America’s interests.
