Journalists and photojournalists in the United States can attend a webinar focused on covering wildfires.
The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL Fire) are hosting the webinar “Wildfire training and access for journalists.”
The hosts consider the webinar critical for the safety of everyone who must be equipped and ready to cover wildfires, which are no longer only in the Western states.
CAL Fire will discuss wildfire behavior, safety on the fire line, media access laws and in particular, the California Penal Code 409.5.
The free webinar will take place June 15.
