Journalists interested in learning about disaster risks and resilience data worldwide can attend this webinar.

Lloyd's Register Foundation, in partnership with the Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR), will be hosting the webinar on its latest edition of the World Risk Poll Resilience Index on Jun. 26.

Based on around 145,000 interviews conducted in 143 countries during the second half of 2023, the Index provides a unique data resource for understanding the resilience and vulnerabilities of countries and communities around the world.

Attendees will hear from the analysts about key trends and insights from the data, revealing how resilience and its determinants have changed around the world since the last Resilience Index was published in 2022.

The expert panellists will discuss the findings and their implications and value for civil society. They include: Jenty Kirsch-Wood, Head of Global Risk Management and Reporting, UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction; Dr Joel Gill, Lecturer in Sustainable Geoscience, Cardiff University; Tosin Victoria Apiriola, Executive Director, Women and Youth Development Initiative; and Dr Manu Gupta, Co-Founder, SEEDS.

The event will be moderated by Marcos Concepcion Raba, Executive Director of GNDR, and presented by Aaron Gardner, The Foundation's Data and Insight Scientist.
