Journalists in Canada can apply for an editorial fellowship.

The Walrus is accepting applications for The Walrus Editorial Fellowship Program. The paid one-year fellowship trains journalists in fact-checking, copy editing and long-form editing to circulation and non-profit management.

Editorial fellows will be responsible for fact-checking editorial content, reviewing unsolicited submissions, selecting and preparing letters to the editor for publication, compiling contributor biographies and quotes for publication and supporting non-editorial departments at The Walrus as needed.

The fellowship begins Nov. 15.

Editorial fellows will be paid CAD700 per week.

The application deadline is Sept. 12.
