VOA seeks supervisory assignment editor [US]

Voice of America (VOA) is hiring a supervisory assignment editor (Mandarin) for its East Asia and Pacific Division's China Branch. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination, conception and implementation of assignments for China Branch's news and long format content coverage.

The supervisory assignment editor will also lead subordinate supervisors, editors and reporters involved in story planning for multiplatform content, including video, audio and text content for broadcast, digital and social media channels.

Applicants must have experience managing, directing, developing and evaluating staff responsible for broadcast, digital and journalistic writing and editing.

The salary range is US$132,368 to US$172,075 per year.

The deadline is July 31.
