Visegrad Fund offers grants to support democracy [Western Balkans, Eastern Partnership]

Posted on Jan 22, 2024 in Collaborative Journalism

Participants from the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia) and the Eastern Partnership regions (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine) can apply.

The Visegrad Fund accepts applications for Visegrad+ grants that support projects contributing to the democratization and transformation processes.

Organizers seek innovative ideas that address shared challenges through high-quality regional collaborative projects.

Possible project topics include democratic values and the media, education and capacity building, regional development, environment and tourism, and social development.

Applicants from one of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) or Western Balkans (WB) countries should have at least two V4 countries involved in their projects and at least one other EaP/WB country. The exception is given to participants from Ukraine: they only need to have two partners from a different V4 country each.

The maximum duration of a project is 18 months.

The deadline for applications is Feb. 1.
