The East-West Center is hosting a virtual event, "U.S. Indo-Pacific Relations on the Eve of U.S. Elections 2024", on Oct. 29, to launch two upcoming reports: Asia Navigates Uncertainty and Continuity of U.S. Regional Policy in the 2024 Elections, and American Public & Elite Opinion on Asia Matters for America (Second Edition).
In the first panel session, speakers will present the second edition of this illuminating analysis comparing U.S. public and elite opinion at the state and local levels regarding America’s interactions with the Indo-Pacific region. The analysis concerns issues pertaining to economy, security, climate change, and more.
In the second panel session, participants will hear from researchers regarding the 2024 elections in the U.S. and their impact on the Indo-Pacific.
