Virtual climate change fellowship for journalists [US]

Posted on May 23, 2022 in Environmental Reporting

Journalists interested in covering climate change or the environment can participate in a virtual fellowship.

The Solutions Journalism Network (SJN) is organizing the Climate Change Cohort. This fellowship trains journalists to frame, research and write rigorous stories about climate change solutions, using SJN’s four-pillar approach: response, insight, evidence and limitations.

Fellows will delve into the important work of bringing an equity lens to their story selection, research and writing.

The yearlong fellowship runs July 2022 to July 2023.

Fellows will receive a US$3,000 stipend. Freelance journalists are also eligible to apply.

The application deadline is May 31.
