Journalists and newsrooms can apply for this program.

The University of Southern California's Center for Health Journalism is accepting applications for the 2020 Data Journalism Fellowship and the Impact Fund reporting grants.

The data fellows participate in online training and receive US$2,000 to work on their projects. Applicants must have at least three years of experience and basic Excel knowledge.

The Impact Fund seeks stories on California health issues. Grantees receive up to US$10,000. Preference will be given to mainstream-ethnic media collaborations.

The deadline is Oct. 16.
