Journalism educators and editorial leaders working in countries in the Global South are invited to submit their vision on journalism’s future.
The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies is looking for short submissions to include in its new course “Decolonizing Journalism.” The call for submissions refers specifically to the final module of the course, which will discuss journalism's future through the lens of leading journalists or non-journalists (but people who work close /adjacent to that space) based outside of North America and Europe.
Submissions must include a 200-to-800-word blurb/vision of what you think news will look like in the future, and/or what you think should be the future of journalism or news. These predictions can be written informally or anecdotally.
Email submissions to shenaz.kermalli@utoronto.ca.
The deadline is March 25.
