Journalists from Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia can apply for travel and reporting grants.
BIRN’s Reporting Democracy Travel and Reporting Program is offering grants to journalists who are interested in reporting from the Balkans.
Selected journalists will produce at least one in-depth article published in their countries’ local media, with the possibility of the content being republished on BIRN’s Reporting Democracy platform and in the local media in the Balkan region.
Five grants of EUR2,500 each will be awarded.
Eligible expenses include fees, travel, accommodation, subsistence during the field work and various production costs.
The application deadline is June 30.
