Journalists in India can participate in a five-day online training program, June 13 to 17.
Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) is introducing its new and revamped journalism training “Reporting on Human Trafficking and Labor Exploitation – A Solutions Approach.” Led by a veteran journalist, the training program will provide a deep dive into the complex topic from a solutions journalism angle, to provide fresh story angles that are more accessible to audiences.
Participants will gain the tools and know-how to confidently report on the subject and produce compelling stories on human exploitation in India in a fresh and novel approach that engages more audiences.
At the end of the course, participants will pitch story proposals and compete for a few spots to be mentored on the stories they pitched and receive story grants for their work.
The application deadline is June 5.
