Training for journalists covering road safety issues [Uganda]

Journalists in Uganda interested in covering road safety issues can participate in an in-person training program.

The African Centre for Media Excellence (ACME), with assistance from Global Road Safety Partnership, is offering a training program to examine the issues challenging road safety Uganda. The training focuses on the key behavioral risk factors of speeding, drunk-driving and the use of seatbelts and helmets.

The program consists of two five-day courses that will be held in Kampala, Uganda. The first course will take place March 20 to 24.  The second course will be held in June.

Fifteen journalists will be selected for the program. Women journalists are encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is Feb. 28.
