Training focuses on opioids reporting [US]

Journalists interested in reporting on the opioid crisis can apply for this all-expenses-paid training in Denver.

The National Press Foundation (NPF) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) are offering the workshop "The latest on opioids and addiction" March 31 to April 2, followed by ASAM Annual Conference April 2 to 5. 

The training will cover the science of addiction; the latest research on treatment; the role of marijuana and alcohol; trends in substance abuse; and more.

Participants will receive airfare, ground transportation, hotel costs, conference registration fees and most meals. 

The deadline is Feb. 18.
