Journalists in Kenya with at least two years’ professional experience can participate in a hybrid training.
Thomson Reuters Foundation is offering the training program “Reporting on Young Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in Kenya.” The training seeks to advance journalists’ knowledge and skills to report effectively on these issues.
The program will also cover how to identify and tackle mis- and disinformation, online safety and storytelling, whilst addressing the issue of social stigma. It will involve a blend of lively interactive sessions, expert briefings and exercises, to sustain a highly practical, engaging and relevant training experience.
Training will include two days of live online sessions, offline work and three days of face-to-face sessions in Nairobi.
Online training for the first cohort begins May 2 and will be conducted in English.
The deadline is April 12.
