Tow Center calls for research proposals [Worldwide]

Students, researchers, faculty and practitioners in the fields of computer science and journalism can apply for this remote fellowship.

Columbia University’s Tow Center for Digital Journalism is accepting proposals for research into emerging technology and trends impacting the news industry.

Research topics must focus on computation, algorithms and automated journalism; data, metrics and impact; audiences and engagement; or experimental journalism, models and practice.

The amount of funding award depends widely on the scope, duration and complexity of the research project. Projects must be completed by Jan. 31, 2022.

The deadline is Jan. 11, 2021.
