Thomson Reuters organizes training on LGBT+ rights coverage [Ukraine]

Full-time journalists, including freelancers, can apply for this training.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is offering a free training course for Ukrainian journalists on LGBT + rights issues Jan. 30 to Feb. 2 in Kyiv.

The training will combine expertise and hands-on training with an emphasis on producing stories for a wide audience.

At the same time in the same place, the organization will hold training for civil society professionals on LGBT + rights and media outreach. On the last day of the training, both groups will meet in a joint discussion.

Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience.

The organizers will cover travel, accommodation and meals, as well as funding for work on selected stories.

The deadline is Jan. 28.
