PR firm I'Max has launched the program Mais pelo Jornalismo to fight news deserts in Brazil by providing free tech infrastructure and support for Brazilian news sites.
Participants will have access to site layouts, hosting services, SEO analysis tools, accessibility tools, weekly backups, 24/7 support, and more.
Up to 1,000 organizations will be selected. Eligible participants are offline organizations wishing to launch their news sites, independent journalists with regional or niche projects, grassroots news media, news organizations reporting on minority communities, and news sites planning to migrate their tech infrastructure.
The application deadline is Feb. 28.
