Students attending colleges/universities in the U.S. and who want to increase the representation of Black males in journalism can apply for a summer fellowship.

New York University’s (NYU) Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, in partnership with the Dow Jones News Fund, is offering the Ed Bradley Fellowship. The program seeks to identify and rectify the underrepresentation of African American males in newsrooms across the country.

During the workshop, students will receive hands-on instruction from NYU faculty and visiting professionals and get the opportunity to report and produce their own multimedia stories.

Twenty students will be selected to attend this one-week workshop of intensive training and mentorship.

The workshop will be held June 2 to 8.

The deadline is March 15.
