Storytelling workshop for Native American high school students [US]

Native American high school students who are interested in journalism can attend a workshop in Lawrence, Kansas.

The University of Kansas, in partnership with the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA) and Haskell Indian Nations University, is hosting its annual Native Storytelling Workshop. The workshop seeks to educate the next generation of Native storytellers by providing them with the tools and skills necessary to tell the stories that matter to them and their communities. 

Students will learn the basics of online/digital news content creation, podcasting and multimedia journalism. 

The four-day workshop will take place June 11 to 15 at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas.

The workshop in free. Students will receive accommodation and meals. Scholarships are available to assist with travel to and from Lawrence, Kansas.
