Journalists who are in financial distress can apply for this fund.
The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) has created the Journalists’ Emergency Fund to help journalists during the pandemic.
The fund is intended to offer relief for journalists who are facing tough times due to shrinking newsrooms and reduced paycheck.
Applicants must request up to US$500. Both SPJ members and non-members are eligible to apply.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but the funding is limited.
